  • This food is awful.
  • That movie was awful.
2. to complain: to say negative and bad things about a person, thing, or situation

A) It is so hot here. And the food is terrible. And the service is awful.
B) You complain a lot.
  • Bill always complains about his job.
3. a bug: an insect
  • I don't like picnics because there are many bugs.
  • There is a bug in here! Get it out!
